 What’s up? Liz Wilcox here. You are listening to episode 47 of the Email Soundbooth podcast. Super excited to bring you some last minute Black Friday ideas. As we know, it’s coming up. And personally, I’m excited. Uh, personally, well, business wise. For Liz Wilcox dot com, uh, the last couple of years, Black Friday has nearly doubled, if not, uh, doubled my revenue for the year.

So I’m excited. I am feeling hopeful. I’m feeling strong. I have put in the work. But if you are a last minute Joe, that doesn’t mean you can’t make any sales. So I want to give you some last minute Black Friday ideas In case you’re wondering, oh my gosh, is it too late? It’s not too late. Um, you know, uh, we can, we can still get something going.

Okay, so first and foremost, when it comes to Black Friday, what I want you to know is show, don’t just show up with a link. You know, think about how you’re serving people show up with a solution not just a link okay, so Uh, the first thing i’ve got written down here is to discount some of your products But it’s not enough to discount your products to say hey, this is 40 off go go go go go Uh, right.

This is not a mall. This is not a jc pennies in the 90s anymore, right? Consumers are more savvy 2024, especially if you’ve been in North America has been, uh, well, I mean, really all over the world. It’s been pretty turbulent, right? So it’s not enough to just show up with a link or a discount. So, but discounts do work.

I love a discount I did. I think I’ve spoken about this in a previous episode, but I did a You know, win back campaign of people. I canceled my membership and it was, I gave them a little discount on something and we made a lot of sales. So discounts do work, but you’ve got to explain why on top of the discount, they should get it.

So if you’re going to do 40 percent off all your courses or something like that. Just tell them why this is a steal of a deal, who this is for, and why right now is the absolute best time to buy. Okay, so that’s discounts right last minute black friday idea Discount like crazy Uh, the second idea is to give a service voucher or a credit I think i’ve mentioned this person before on the podcast lizzie goddard does a great job With I think she calls it lizzie credit and it’s basically like buying a gift card Uh back in the day.

I used to work at pizza hut. That was my first job and during the holidays we would sell You gift cards, you know, they wanted to maximize their, you know, amount of sales towards the end of the year. And so it was like with buy a gift card and you could get like a free two liter or something like that free drinks or something.

I remember it was also a contest and I won the contest. Of course. Um, I think I got like an extra 500 bonus, which when I was like 17, I was like, wow, I’m so rich. Anyway. Uh, service vouchers or credits work, but maybe give them a little incentive like Pizza Hut. Uh, you know, hey, buy 50 right now, you’ll get a two liter for free right now.

Or, you know, buy 50 to use later, you get the two liter for free right now. So think about, you know, credit. I think, you know, Lizzie Goddard, she usually does discounts on the credit. Uh, so she’s, she’s stacking ideas here, right? So, uh, you know, buy 100 of Lizzie credit for 30 percent off. So you’re buying 100 for 70, right?

So that’s what I mean by a credit or a service voucher. This is really good if you’re a service provider. Or maybe you have a local or e commerce brand, uh, where you could give out those service vouchers, those credits, those gift cards. Uh, people, people love to gobble those up. Uh, the third idea is, do you have an idea for a new product or a new service?

Can you give it away for a beta price so it’s not like, oh, this is a discount. This is just, hey, this is the first time I’m launching it. It’s Black Friday, uh, you know, here’s a great deal on it, you know, check it out, right? So Black, what I love about Black Friday is there are no rules, right? Where it would be, you know, if you’re launching something in July, uh, you know, You might feel like you have to play by certain launch rules, but on Black Friday, pretty much anything goes.

So, launch that new product. Launch that new service. Uh, give, give it away at a crazy discount or a wild beta price. There are no rules, babe. Or, charge whatever you want. Um. The next idea I’ve got for you are if you have a product you hate the idea of discounting or beta prices You know, hey, I get it Your worth is your worth and I love that for you.

I own it baby Is Black Friday only bonuses, so there’s no discount, but they get some kind of bonus They don’t normally get this is like my annual pass, right? My annual pass is where you get a you buy a year into my membership My membership’s nine dollars a month a year of that is 108 bucks nine times 12 108 bucks There’s absolutely no discount.

I do not give a discount on this but When you buy on black friday you get All my other products for free. It’s an insane amount of Black Friday only bonuses. You don’t have to go that wild. Uh, I just, I find myself to be a contrarian. I just like to do things that people say are kind of stupid. And kind of prove them wrong.

But anyway, I love the Black Friday only bonuses. So if you’ve got something, say you’ve got a service, right? You’re a copywriter. Um, you know, and normally, you know, you’ve got this VIP day and maybe as a Black Friday only bonus, they get three revisions instead of two or they get also get, um, you know, their next VIP half off, uh, Black Friday only, or they get, you know, your launch course for free when they book the VIP day, right?

Something like that. And then, uh, the last So the first idea I’ve got for you are bundles, right? Bundle some of your products, right? Uh, normally I sell A, B, and C product. Now I’m bundling them all together for the price of A, right? So, you know, I’ve got this, that, and the other. Uh, if you buy this, you get that and the other for free.

You can bundle all that stuff together for one low price. And I know I said that was my last idea, but it’s not. My last minute. Last idea for Black Friday this year is to sell other people’s stuff. Affiliate marketing is great. If you don’t have an offer, that is totally fine. There are technologies, people like me, that are selling on Black Friday.

So, what I love to see is when people do, you know, like five days of deals where they recommend their, um, like most beloved, uh, softwares and businesses. I know a lot of my affiliates are coming out to promote the annual pass for Black Friday. Super, super fun. If that’s you, thank you. But yeah, sell other people’s stuff. What I love about affiliate marketing is I can sell it and then you can That other person has to deliver on the promise. So, uh, it’s, it’s really like low effort, high reward. All right. That is it for today. Uh, last minute black Friday ideas.
