Hey friend! This is the Fresh Princess of Email Marketing speaking and you’re listening to Episode 15 of the Email Sound Booth podcast. Lucky me! Today I wanna just give my thoughts on Black Friday. I know the last few years, it’s been controversial but in an effort to not bury the lead…I love Black Friday.
Black Friday has made me hundreds of thousands of dollars (wow!) in all of my businesses. Meaning, no matter what I’m selling on Black Friday, I am making some cash.
Sure, there are some downsides or “red/yellow flags”…
- You might feel pressure to offer deals you can’t afford, since big discounts are the norm during Black Friday.
- Your short-term profit margins may be lower than normal, even if the sales volume is high.
- If your email list is small or kinda broken, it might feel like a lot of work for not a lot of gain.
- Everyone and their mother has a sale so you might have some tight competition
But here’s why I think you should do it anyway.

IT’S EXCITING; THERE’S ENERGY AND BUZZ BEHIND IT
YOU CAN PRACTICE SELLING WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT BEING SLEEZY (FOLKS ARE MORE RECEPTIVE AROUND THIS TIME)
GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO UP THE PERCENTAGE OF CUSTOMERS ON YOUR EMAIL LIST
